Boo-hoo!

 

We're coming to the end of our vacation. Tonight we're near West Palm Beach at the Lion Country Safari KOA. We took the safari driving tour this afternoon. It was well worth the money even though it was raining. Actually the brochure said that rain is a good thing because animals tend to be more active in the rain. They were right! Tomorrow it's back to reality and home.

Out to Sea

 

Took the glass bottom boat tour out to the 3rd largest coral reef in the world and the largest in the US. Saw several species of fish, coral, and even a barracuda.

Went back to Key West to do some photo ops, eat dinner, and watch the sun set from Mallory Square. Nice!

Happy Hour!

It's happy hour at the campground!

Today was kind of a do-nothin' day. Sarah spent lots of time in the pool, the rest of us just lazed around. Minerature golf was suggested but we didn't make it. Tomorrow it's back to Key West to visit some of the places we saw on the tour.

Key West

The KOA is only 19 miles from Key West so we drove down today. We decided to take the Conch Train tour which was really informative. Afterwards we ate at a great b-b-que place near the docks. We made it back to the campground in time for "happy hour" by the pool. What a tough life!

We're Here!

Made it to Sugar Loaf Key so vacation has truly begun. Is it happy hour yet? No set plans for tomorrow.

Greetings from Fort Pierce. This is not where we are vacationing but where we stopped for the night. :) Tomorrow we will be at our actual desination - Sugar Loaf Key. We'll be there until next Saturday and then drive back as far as Lion Country USA where we will spend the night and tour the park. I'll try to post pictures of our adventures if we can get a good wireless connection. Keep checking back.
